Sabbas Landscaping was referred to us as part of a larger pool installation project. To be completely honest, I was initially a little skeptical based solely upon some of the reviews I saw here. People complaining about logistics, quality of workmanship, etc. had me a little nervous to move forward. However, this was not our experience. Danny and his crew consistently proved to be more than capable professionals throughout the entire process. What first helped to shift my perspective was how great Danny's communication was. There was a large email thread at the beginning between the pool contractor, the surveyor/engineer, my wife and I, and Danny. It was clear that Danny was engaged in keeping up with the emails, adding what he needed to at the right moments, and helping to make clarifications at times when it wasn't really his job (and this was extremely helpful in avoiding some headaches that could have happened). He came by to meet with my wife to help explain things and listen to her concerns about certain elements, and it was very clear to me that he actually listened. Furthermore, he communicated in a way that made my wife feel comfortable and respected, and that's huge to me. Not everyone is capable of that. He's to the point, no BS, but is a genuinely kind person. Danny coordinated his work to begin at the right time and his crew did a fantastic job of seeing it to completion. Being a contractor myself and having an eye for detail, I have already referred these guys to my own clients because I appreciate the quality of their work and know people will not be disappointed. There were a couple details at the end that were perhaps lost in communication at some point, which is understandable for a project with so many variables. Danny personally came by to see our concerns, explain some details, and then coordinated time over the weekend to have his crew make the necessary corrections, and they executed these parts flawlessly and professionally. We are very happy with the work this business did for us and we will absolutely use them again in the future. There are a lot of sketchy contractors out there and it can be hard to find someone trustworthy and reliable. I would know as I have had my own bad experiences in the past. Fortunately, we have found Sabbas Landscaping to prove us otherwise. 100% recommend!Posted on Trustindex

Robert ButtacavoliJanuary 12, 2026Crew that came out and did a fabulous job removing old paver patio and foundation then replacing with a larger paver patio. Excellent job on edges with clean, tight cuts. Rerouted and extended the underground drainage and properly sloped landscaping against the retaining walls. The crew was very respectful and efficient at responding to questions. Cleanup of all areas each day of the 4-day job. The really took pride in their work.Posted on Google

Bryan FrankshunJuly 11, 2024Big shout out to Daniel Sabba and his crew at Sabba's Landscaping, LLC. They did an amazing job with our crazy slopped backyard, making the best out of what we had. We knew when we first moved in the backyard was going to be difficult with the crazy grading but Danny and his decades of experience had a plan and executed to perfection. His crews battled heat, dirt and tons of weight in boulders to give us the perfect backyard. Also, thanks to the Nicki and the rest of the Sabba family for great communication and scheduling along the way! Truly an impressive company with a dedicated, hard working Owner. Thanks again for all the hard work!Posted on Google

John PikeJanuary 15, 2021I do recommend Sabba's for price and quality . I needed quality top soil and to take the place of a pool that was removed so it could be seeded and fill in my lawn. The workers did a great job and left my yard in nice shape and they provided quality advise on how to make sure my lawn comes back in the spring. Didn't catch the workers names, but they were polite. VincentJanuary 15, 2021Danny and his crew have been cutting our lawn for the past few years. We had a previous bad experience with another lawn company and I noticed Sabba's Landscaping trucks in our area and gave them a call. I worked with Toni and Danny setting up a schedule and pricing and it's been great since then! Their crew really does love cutting lawns and they do new patterns each week so your lawn stays healthier instead of getting matted down. It always looks amazing! It's one of the few bills per month I never mind paying as it is always worth it. Thanks to the whole crew!Posted on Facebook

Adam HirschhornJanuary 15, 2021Our experience was great from the start! My wife and I were interested in re-doing our patio last February. We called the office and we received back a fast response and an appointment was set! Danny came to our house, gave us an estimate and laid out the vision for our new patio. Danny was nice enough to go out of his way and bring samples back the next day from the yard to our house. The Sabba team came promptly the day of install, was very neat, cautious of our property, didn’t rip up our lawn with the heavy machinery and everyone was professional! The project took 2.5 days and Danny came back to make sure we were happy. His team went out of the way to seed, and water the lawn 2 days after. We love our patio and highly recommend the company. We are now looking into fencing and other outdoor home improvements. Thank you.Posted on Google

Cynthia HughesApril 29, 2019I don't even know where to begin there is so much to say. My home was ravaged by a flash flood in August of 2018. This flood collapsed my yard literally in half and I was left with a very unstable situation. I interviewed 9 contractors before I found Sabba's. The minute I met Danny I knew I found the best of the best! Professional, Caring and Attention to detail like nobody’s business! Danny and his crew treated my home and property like it was there own. Every call was answered or returned promptly. On time every single day! And I cannot leave out Toni, Danny’s mom. She handles the day to day operations and after you speak to her you will know why Danny is so wonderful. It was mind boggling the progress that was made in 5 days. Danny is very meticulous and takes great pride in his work. I would recommend Sabba's to anyone and everyone. Stay tuned for the finished product. And for those of you looking for excellence in your landscaping needs please call Danny Sabba, I promise you will be so glad you did.Posted on Google

Retaining Walls That Protect, Elevate, and Last in Ocean County
Is your sloped yard slowly becoming a problem—or worse, an eyesore? In Ocean County, where properties often face drainage challenges, erosion issues, and uneven grading, professionally installed retaining walls are more than just a design element—they’re a necessity for protecting your investment.
At Sabba’s Landscaping, we’ve helped countless homeowners and businesses throughout Ocean County turn unstable, unusable land into safe, stunning outdoor spaces. Whether you’re dealing with runoff near your foundation, looking to carve out more functional space, or just want a landscape that finally feels complete, a retaining wall can offer lasting structural and visual benefits. Browse our past projects and see how we’ve transformed properties just like yours.
Why Ocean County Homeowners Choose Retaining Walls
Solve Serious Grading & Drainage Issues
If your yard slopes or washes out after heavy rain, a retaining wall can redirect water flow, minimize erosion, and help protect your home’s foundation or garden beds. It’s one of the most effective ways to stabilize sloped terrain in Ocean County’s mixed elevation zones.
Expand Usable Outdoor Space
Retaining walls do more than hold soil—they help define areas for patios, play zones, gardens, or walkways. By carving out flat space where there was none, you gain more functional outdoor living areas without losing character.
Add Visual Appeal With Structure
A well-designed retaining wall adds elegant dimension to your yard. Whether using natural stone, concrete blocks, or pavers, our builds complement your landscape while improving both value and curb appeal.
Types of Retaining Walls We Build
Gravity Retaining Walls
These walls rely on their own weight to resist the pressure of soil behind them. Perfect for small to medium slopes and decorative garden tiers.
Segmental Block Walls
Engineered for strength, these interlocking block systems allow for taller walls and curved or custom layouts, ideal for complex landscape grading.
Natural Stone Retaining Walls
For a timeless, rustic look, natural stone walls provide both charm and resilience. We source stone that blends with Ocean County’s natural surroundings.
Reinforced Retaining Walls
Need heavy-duty support? We install walls with geogrid or poured concrete reinforcements to stabilize even the most challenging slopes or heavy backfill conditions.
Benefits of a Professionally Installed Retaining Wall
Increased Property Value
Retaining walls offer both beauty and utility—boosting your home’s market value while solving key land issues.
Long-Term Cost Savings
By controlling erosion and protecting your home’s structure, you can avoid costly repairs in the future.
Customization Options
From texture and material to height and layout, every wall is tailored to your space, preferences, and needs.
Low Maintenance Landscaping
Walls can reduce the amount of lawn you need to maintain and keep mulch or soil in place more effectively.
Ready to Take Control of Your Landscape?
If you’re tired of watching your yard erode—or simply want to create a more dynamic and usable outdoor space—Sabba’s Landscaping is ready to help. We specialize in retaining wall design and installation throughout Ocean County, using proven techniques and top-tier materials to ensure results that last.
